Have you ever arrived unfashionably late to a party?

We at LanguagePreschools.com are big Instagram fans. So when we joined Instagram a few months ago, we were disappointed to notice that we didn’t yet have access to one of Instagram’s newest features: Instagram Story Highlights.

We waited…and waited…and waited. Now that the feature can’t really be considered “new” anymore, guess what? We got it!

Yesterday, we saw that we now have the ability to add Instagram Story Highlights to our account, and today, we jumped onto Canva and made four highlight covers: Resources, Ideas, Quotes and Research.

At this point in time, we feel like these four areas encompass most of what our Instagram posts are about anyway. Although our primary competency is to provide an online directory of language immersion preschools, at our core, we want to connect more families with bilingual opportunities of any kind.

Here’s what our profile looks like now that we’ve added Instagram Story Highlights:

Here’s a brief explanation of each of the Instagram Story Highlights categories:

Resources: Books, podcasts, guides, videos, or any other tools that will benefits parents raising bilingual children or benefit parents learning another language themselves.

Ideas: Tips and suggestions for parents, whether they’re raising bilingual kids or just preschool-aged kids.

Quotes: Inspirational bits for parents and non-parents alike — anyone who has a passion for languages!

Research: Trends, studies, and data related to language immersion schools or language learning in general.

A few questions for you:

  1. Do you use Instagram Story Highlights for your Instagram page/account?
  2. Do you look at others’ Instagram Story Highlights?
  3. If you answered “yes” to question 2 above, what Instagrammer (brand or individual) do you think executes Instagram Story Highlights exceptionally well?
  4. What type of content would you like to see more of from us, whether as stories or posts?

Please let us know what you think, either in the comments or via DM at @LanguagePreschools. Thank you!
